My quest for bits and bobs for my flat has led me to ebay. I'm bidding on a nice little glass chess set at the moment. I'll probably add a couple of other things to that. My ebaying isn't limited to miscellany though. I'm a little annoyed that my dream of owning a 1982 Pontiac Trans-Am Recaro is no nearer to being realised. That would be cool. It would probably break all pollution laws known to man and put my insurance through the roof, but it'd still be cool.
As a test of who's actually reading this and paying attention, I'm looking for suggestions as to what weirdness I can put in each room of my flat. Each room needs at least one "hook", something that'll make people go "Ooh! That's odd, but I like it". To give you a head start I've already decided on having at least one page from the Lemegeton framed on the wall of my lounge, obviously one with a nice big juicy table on it. There's likely to be a full-sized real sword somewhere in the hallway too, and I think a scrying mirror would be nice in my bedroom. Other options include blow-up furniture for one room, a 50's jukebox, and one of those fishbowls with mechanical fish in. Feel free to drop me some more hints. I'd love to do the "half a car poking out of the wall" thing, but I think that might be a bit expensive.
