It's been a funny couple of days. Nobody appears to have been shot at or bombed or had aircraft land on them on the anniversary of the September 11th attacks, so that's nice. The TV schedules have been full of nothing else for the past few days. Nothing else, it seems, except feature films. Tuesday night we had Star Wars and Saving Private Ryan. Which dickhead missed Star Wars, 'cos he thought it was on the following day? Muggins. That's who. Typical.
The only other noteworthy thing I heard yesterday was the fact that there appears to be a large metallic object in deep orbit around the earth (beyond the moon). It's never been seen before, which sort of begs the question "How did it get there?". This thing is apparently highly reflective, and quite noticeable, in astronomical terms. I have to admit to being intrigued. If it's debris from one of our space launches, it's managed to get itself a long way out. If it's come from somewhere else, it's somehow managed to remain invisible all the way in, until being snagged by the earth's gravity, which seems rather unlikely. To my mind, if it was an extra-terrestrial object (like an asteroid), it would've had to come in at a hell of a speed for no one to notice it (it really is obvious apparently), then stop on a metaphorical dime and allow itself to be gently swung around by the earth. That doesn't sound like the action of an asteroid to me. If it had come in at the sort of speed where astronomers could be forgiven for not having spotted it, surely it's orbit would be highly elliptical, if it got snagged by the earth at all. It's certainly peculiar. I'll be keeping an eye on developments. Interestingly (though I'm not convinced by this particular conspiracy theory) NWO theorists claim, in an article I read months ago, that German rocket guru Werner Von Braun predicted several stages on the road to the New World Order, including in the latter stages Middle East Crisis, Global Terrorism, and Threat From Space. Spooky, eh?
