I've just submitted fuse, libspectrum, libdsk and lib765 for inclusion in the gentoo linux portage tree. Hopefully they'll be quite happy with my ebuilds. They seem to work, at least. I don't know if they'd be considered pretty enough for a proper developer, but they do the job. If they do include them I guess I'll have to maintain them, which will at least give me a new hobby :). Phil Kendall has already told me there'll be a new version of fuse soon, so that will need submitting. Wait and see time now.

...that you only realise you've fucked up when it's too late to take it back? The fuse ebuild I submitted earlier is broken. Horribly so. It will compile fuse perfectly, but only in one circumstance, when X is the preferred interface. If you try to specify svgalib it craps out. It wouldn't even compile without libdsk support until I just tweaked it now. You know why? Curly braces. Damned curly braces that look exactly like regular braces unless you really squint at the little basts. How annoying is that?

Now I'm trying to sort out svgalib support properly, the way I should have done in the first place, but I'm getting precisely nowhere. I don't think I've got all the dependencies I need to build this damn thing. Note to self: Don't try these things, you'll only fuck it up.

*sigh*
