Productive day

I've finally finished that damned assignment. I decided that there was no point agonising over it any more. It is utter shite, but at least it's done. I can't see myself ever selling any non-fiction if this is anything to go by, but I guess that's not the reason I took the course.

I've also managed to buy some DVDs I've wanted for a while. Tesco had a 3 for £20 offer, so I took them up on it. I got Blade, The Green Mile and When Harry Met Sally. My taste in films is at least as eclectic as my taste in music.

I've gone over my last poem again. I think it's better for it, but I'm snowblind again, so I don't really know. I've got rid of some of the lines I tried to wedge in, and substituted better fitting ones. I took it round to my Mum's before and both she and my Dad pronounced it "very good". My Dad doesn't usually even comment on stuff like this, so that's high praise indeed. I suspect there's rather a lot of bias in that, but even so, it's nice to hear :)

Back in the day, Meg Ryan was an even more fine looking woman than she is today. The character is wonderful too. Do they make women like that? Real ones? If so, where might one procure one?

Testing the Nige hypothesis

I'm currently sporting a goatee, for the first time since Uni. I rather like it. I always did really, except that once it reaches a certain length it has a tendency to turn an unfortunate shade of ginger. This is all Nige's fault. He said that he rather liked the goatee, which is a highly unusual opinion among my friends, but I decided to trust his judgement and so I shall be going to the pub with cultivated facial insulation.

If I could get this damned webcam working, I'd solicit opinions, as it is, I'll just have to thoughtfully stroke my chin...
