Arrrr!

Finally got around to watching Pirates of the Caribbean and it is just as good as people have said. Johnny Depp is great, Orlando Bloom is wooden, but at least vaguely capable, and Keira Knightley is gorgeous and a lot of fun. It's a good old romp really.

The CSS Manchester meet was yesterday, and was fun indeed. The usual suspects turned up, and were joined by crackfiend, who was a likeable chap with a penchant for thumb-wrestling and curiously effective martial arts moves. There was more than a little beer, rather a lot of geekery and a smattering of photography (with my spangly new digital camera, hurrah!) as evidenced here, provided I've set apache up right.

My userpic is now actually me, rather than a womble, a south park character or a Mr Man. You wouldn't believe how many angles look worse than that one. Anyway, for those of you I've not met, that's me, that is.

Ok, I've been told my new userpic is rather more "scary serial killer" than I intended. Any opinions? Would you buy a used car from this man?
