Things appear to be looking vaguely up. I'm making progress with a lot of stuff.
I've just added another skill to the list that needs to go on my CV. I can now state with confidence that I can hook U2 databases up to a web front-end via Redback. Hurrah.
I've also got quite well into my first serious attempt at buffyfic, and it's still working. I'm not pissed off with it and I'm not fudging anything and leaving it for later, it's just all going onto the page nicely. Won't be done for a while, but at least it's working.
I haven't seriously looked at my nanowrimo novel yet, but that's also on the cards, and I also haven't managed to get the irc app I'm working on for the newton to work properly either, but give me time. It's really rather awkward to go from writing applications in languages that are well-supported with online docs to trying to code for the newton, for which there is bugger all, but I'll get there.
Oh, I've also got two kid's poems on the go. One or more may make an appearance before the buffyfic, depends when inspiration strikes, and how hard. They are "The moon is not made of cheese" and "The cautionary tale of Oddly Wavering". They're in much the same vein as The Dream Peddler, but will probably turn out a little more lighthearted. Oddly, the kids loved DP, but several of the adults who read it cried...
