Blogability

Over the past few days I've been fiddling with my website. I now have a working (though not live and not fully debugged) blogging system. It allows comments, threads them and generally does everything you'd expect of a blog. Some time this afternoon it will be declared fit for public use and I'll shift the current entries on affordable-wombles.org over to it. If I'm feeling brave, I might even abstract it such that other people can make use of it, and make it available on the software page. I reckon that, all told, it's taken around 6 hours of actual work to do. Not bad for the first time I've ever used PHP in anger, eh?

http://www.affordable-wombles.org is now a proper blog. If you're remotely interested in what I'm up to with regards to writing, coding or any aspect of my life I tend not to cover here, please take a look. You can comment like you would on LJ. I'll be adding other features as and when I get time/can be arsed. Please report any bugs you find. I think it's reasonably bug-free, but there's nothing like actual users to test things with.

It's done. It works. My brain is broken. If you want to see the stuff I put on affordable-wombles in your LJ, add "affordable_ori" as a friend. The first couple of posts are a little scrambled, but it should start looking reasonable from now on.
