It has been ascertained that blueberry ibooks do not cope well with 700MB cds. Apparently they *do* cope quite well with 650MB cdrws though :)
Consequently, Cairngorm is now running a base debian sarge system, and will be upgraded as soon as the usb 802.11b doohicky arrives and I figure out how to use the bugger. It has also been brought to my attention that there may actually be an airport slot lurking in this beast after all, so I'll open it up at some point and see. If there is an airport slot, I can just bung a card in, tell debian to use eth1 and Robert is my close male relative. Hurrah!
