Dental prosthetics and teens (and why they don't necessarily mix)

I ordered a new set of fangs a few weeks ago. My old ones were single tooth caps, not custom made and frankly they had a tendency to not fit terribly well. These are essentially hollow false teeth, complete with plate. They fit snugly over my teeth and the plate holds them in place. They're great, and very realistic. I know this because I tried them out on a certain pair of young ladies (well, I didn't bite them, but you know what I mean).

We were watching a film, and Livi reminded me that I'd left them in the car, so I went to fetch them, stuck them in and came back in. Sue turned round as I came in the door, and I grinned at her. The effect was dramatic to say the least. I'm told her first instinct was to punch me. Those that met her at the recent mancmeet will not be remotely surprised by this. Fortunately she restrained herself. It's probably just as well she's at a comprehensive school in Rochdale rather than anywhere they might have, for example, books... and a library... and a librarian... and you know, pointy sticks and holy water and stuff...

Trish was watching a film upstairs and was called down to see. I'll confess I hadn't actually considered just how young she is until then. She was terrified. Wouldn't come near me until I took the fangs out, and even then wouldn't go near the hand I had them in. Took a couple of minutes and a couple of hugs to make sure she was ok, and she went back upstairs safe in the knowledge I wasn't actually a creature of the night. I still feel a bit guilty about that.

So, for future reference, if you don't want a punch in the face, try not to look like a vampire around Sue. Also, if you don't want a punch in the face, don't scare Trish the way *I* did, or I'm likely to administer it myself.

Ok...

Anyone know what the appropriate format for a letter of resignation is? I've never actually done one before...
