London, bombs, etc.

This will be my only post discussing this topic. I don't see why I should waste my time blethering about the actions of a few lunatics who think they can serve their cause by attacking London. I think there's evidence enough both in the news and right here that they got it completely wrong. If you want to cause terror, if your intent is to frighten people into doing what you want, there are very few places you could expect less of a reaction than London. People are annoyed, yes. People are inconvenienced. Some will have to cope with loss and bereavement. None will be terrified. None will be convinced of your point of view. If anything, this act has simply made London, and Britain, more resolved to never, ever give in to you. You've failed. You misjudged an entire nation. We're the old school, and you do not fuck with us. We will be around long after you're gone, drinking tea and discussing just how pathetic you were in the grand scheme of things. As for retaliation, I hope our leaders realise that you're not worth our time and the lives of our soldiers. You're a petty annoyance. You deserve nothing but our contempt.

Moving

The process grinds steadily on. Yesterday I spent the afternoon clearing the bits I'm not taking from the flat and generally having a binning spree. I've brought across my TV stand and my DVDs. My mum, bless her socks, will be sorting out my bookcases today. Should I be worried that she had to ask me if I wanted them storing in alphabetical order in the boxes? I'm not that bad am I? Anyway, today I'm off to see malfranks and novawildstar. Should be cool.
