Looks like stuff is finally starting to come together here. I've been working like a mad thing on several "business critical" (how I hate that phrase) projects and it looks like all of them are almost simultaneously going to come to an end very shortly.
I've been working on a system to manage our supplier approval process for god knows how long now, and despite more feature creep than I've ever experienced in my life, it's now looking reasonably complete. They can track a supplier from initial enquiry through to being on their official supplier list, including sending letters and workflowing (another horror, I need to not be in a position where I have to write words like that) the supplier's details between various departments and up and down the management hierarchy.
I've also been working on the longest running project in Northern Counties history. It's an application called Falcon, the origins of which are shrouded in the mists of time. It manages rent setting and service charges and provides projections for the next few years and all sorts. It's insanely complicated, but it seems to be working. Ra!
I've got a couple of other little things working recently, and generally things are looking up. I don't think it's going to slow down much once I get rid of all this stuff, but it'll be nice to be busy with other things for a change. Who knows, I might even get time to properly manage this house move.
