me and cron finally getting along
Ok, I'm a fool. Can you believe that it simply hadn't occurred to me that the cron line: "*/12 0-8,18-23 * * 1-5 mycommand" actually included 8-9 am? I've been sitting here each morning trying to figure out why my home machine is sucking my emails off the server before I get chance to see them. Dumbass.
Had an evening on #speccy last night. It was quite amusing. I also consumed a considerable amount of Guinness and I suspect I'll be paying for that later. Anyway, it appears that my irc client is all set up properly now, as is the voice plugin (it knows how to say "speccy" now too :). I haven't managed to deal with the problems that java has caused yet, but I'm confident. I'm feeling rather accomplished at the moment.
