orinoco77Ok, so I forgot Buffy. Hands up who saw that coming.
I've just got back from Nige and Kate's new house. It is most splendiferous, but it's old and kind of creepy. It was built in 1890-odd and it's just plain old and peculiar. There's something about old houses that just doesn't sit well with me. Any place that's got that much history has to have it's share of bad stuff floating about. It's also cold in there, but that's probably just because they haven't had chance to sort the heating out properly yet.
In a somewhat alarming turn of events, I think I have something of a crush on my best mate's girlfriend. Helen came 'round to Nige's too and, it being a Saturday, she was without her rock star boyfriend. In these situations she's always felt able to treat me as a kind of surrogate. Purely platonically of course, but I have moments of weakness where I think about what it might be like otherwise. It's nothing serious, and it's nothing I'd want to pursue, but it's there nevertheless. She's funny, she's intelligent and she's attractive. What a diabolical combination. I think I'll go try to sleep it off. In any case, she's not available and she's not the lovely Katherine, so it's just another non-starter to add to my growing list.
