orinoco77I really shouldn't attempt to write my journal at silly hours of the early morning. Everything I said stands, I'm just not certain I should have said it.
I think I'm going to have to find a new usb hub. I think it's that which is fucking up my webcam so consistently. Apparently the webcam driver doesn't properly handle "hot" disconnects (such as what would happen if the hub stopped working briefly) and locks up both itself and the usb-uhci module. Fun. It actually might be easier to just disconnect my scanner, which doesn't work at the moment anyway, and plug the webcam straight into the back of the computer. Decisions, decisions.
Looks like I won't be watching the footie this afternoon. Telewest aren't covering it, even in the Pay-per-view jobby. It's either a pub (full of idiots) or no footie. Bah!
I said I'd go back to Nige's to help with the painting, if they wanted me. That could be a laugh. Particularly if there's beer involved.
