Dunno why, but I'm feeling rather more chipper this morning. It's quite disturbing. The sky is a lovely shade of blue, it's nice and crisp, just as it should be, and life does not appear to suck quite as much as I thought it did. This may all change when I look at my bank account later, but for now I think I'm doing ok.

I saw a 13 this morning, which I wouldn't have got were it not for the 4 or 5 minutes it took to get out onto the main road. Providence there, I feel. It's probably also fortunate that I am one of those motorists who, by and large, sticks to the law of the land with respect to speed limits. Otherwise I would have participated in one dented wing, one crushed back end and one lollipop lady fatality. I suspect the poor old dear has been doing the job too long, and has come to actually believe that there is a direct causal relationship between sticking out her "lollipop" and cars stopping.

I have once again failed to clean the flat. It is in a state of disrepair that would shame the scruffiest pikey and embarrass the messiest teen. Ordinarily this would be no problem except that my mother has told me that she will make use of her key, some bin bags and strong detergent, and come round to clean it herself. She thinks this is an act of generosity. In fairness, were it not for the fact that I hate having my privacy invaded, it would be a good turn, but I'm dreading it. My only hope is to have the place properly clean when she comes round (and to have certain items that would cause comment/argument safely hidden). *sigh* mothers, eh? Who'd 'ave 'em?

Finally, I have to go to Newcastle on Saturday for a friend's Stag Night. In a sense I'm looking forward to it, but it will mean that I'll miss out on the opportunity to do basically anything constructive at all with my weekend. Also we'll be paintballing, which I'm not sure is a terribly good idea. I don't think myself and paintballing go together terribly well. We may, in fact, be mutually exclusive.

Can't be worse than this one...must try and do something today, tho' the embuggerance of a plaster is a damned good excuse not to.....

Well, I would, but sadly don't any more..... :/

Why bother? Willow will just destroy it again for you...
And as to the subject of mothers, you might want to be a bit careful around mine. Comparisons are being made between you and Dad...

Quite. I have not worked out yet whether she's intending to replace Lee with you (ah poor deluded parents what think I'm all sween an innocent an monogamous) or whether she's thinking of having a try herself.
You could probably distract her with Willow quite easily...

You'll like the whiteboard anyway. It's a paintball comic. Try it and see.

LOL. That is cool. I'm not normally a big fan of web comics, but that one's pretty good. :)

Tonight is a good time to clean. I shall be sorting and organising and suchlike, so at least you'll know you're not the only one doing it. Oh and I recommend music. Something which you might conceivably dance to if you were pissed enough, as it helps to keep you moving and working.

Aye. Something with a beat sufficiently noisy as to be heard above a hoover would be good too. Might have to turn the webcam off though. The sight of me dancing, even in a vague, cleaning-oriented manner has been known to cause people to die with laughter.

Yeah I need to do something like this as well. Made a start last week by clearing one room and chucking away anything i didn't use, the bed for instance... Actually managed to lose one of the cats in the other room the other day, could hear her mewing, but had no luck finding her. This is normally a good indication that a clear up is needed.

You won't be after your mother's finished. Mums *always* find something you don't want them to.

I'm rather hoping she finds the porn and not the nail varnish actually. I think that would disturb her less.

Argh! mothers. Oh, the horror, the horror! And yet, we'd be lost without them.

Oaky ...how about I say ...clean your flat or I will put your name forward for that dreadful TV programme *How Clean Is Your House* ? I can just imagine the dreadful Aggie marching into your house ...fur trimmed rubber gloves at the ready

*laugh*

Having never seen the programme I suspect I'm not as scared as I should be. The thought of having anyone named Aggie in my flat is distinctly alarming though. Sounds like one of Pratchett's witches...

I watch that show to make me feel better about my self. My house is clean if I watch that show!

Anyone see it last night?
