Dunno why, but I'm feeling rather more chipper this morning. It's quite disturbing. The sky is a lovely shade of blue, it's nice and crisp, just as it should be, and life does not appear to suck quite as much as I thought it did. This may all change when I look at my bank account later, but for now I think I'm doing ok.
I saw a 13 this morning, which I wouldn't have got were it not for the 4 or 5 minutes it took to get out onto the main road. Providence there, I feel. It's probably also fortunate that I am one of those motorists who, by and large, sticks to the law of the land with respect to speed limits. Otherwise I would have participated in one dented wing, one crushed back end and one lollipop lady fatality. I suspect the poor old dear has been doing the job too long, and has come to actually believe that there is a direct causal relationship between sticking out her "lollipop" and cars stopping.
I have once again failed to clean the flat. It is in a state of disrepair that would shame the scruffiest pikey and embarrass the messiest teen. Ordinarily this would be no problem except that my mother has told me that she will make use of her key, some bin bags and strong detergent, and come round to clean it herself. She thinks this is an act of generosity. In fairness, were it not for the fact that I hate having my privacy invaded, it would be a good turn, but I'm dreading it. My only hope is to have the place properly clean when she comes round (and to have certain items that would cause comment/argument safely hidden). *sigh* mothers, eh? Who'd 'ave 'em?
Finally, I have to go to Newcastle on Saturday for a friend's Stag Night. In a sense I'm looking forward to it, but it will mean that I'll miss out on the opportunity to do basically anything constructive at all with my weekend. Also we'll be paintballing, which I'm not sure is a terribly good idea. I don't think myself and paintballing go together terribly well. We may, in fact, be mutually exclusive.

Can't be worse than this one...must try and do something today, tho' the embuggerance of a plaster is a damned good excuse not to.....
*sigh* mothers, eh? Who'd 'ave 'em?

And as to the subject of mothers, you might want to be a bit careful around mine. Comparisons are being made between you and Dad...

Yeah I need to do something like this as well. Made a start last week by clearing one room and chucking away anything i didn't use, the bed for instance... Actually managed to lose one of the cats in the other room the other day, could hear her mewing, but had no luck finding her. This is normally a good indication that a clear up is needed.
