X-Men 2

orinoco77: (Default)
Hands up who spotted Beast, Gambit and Jubilee...

Plenty of teasers there for the people who know the Marvel universe. Always a good thing in a film like this. Didn't think they made particularly good use of Lady Deathstrike though. And where the hell was Psylocke? Large jubblies in tight spandex and thigh length boots are what the men want please, Mr Director! That and a British prescence in the X-Men. Can't have a German and no Brits (I don't think Charles Xavier was supposed to be British, despite Patrick Stewart's lack of an attempt at an American accent. I could be wrong, but I don't think so). All in all, pretty good, but I want to see Apocalypse next time, or at least Sinister. Magneto is an excellent bad-guy, but he's a bit too easy to identify with; after all, if Xavier had died... (hands up who got that reference :))

Oh, comic books are fun! Wheee!

Right, when's The Hulk coming out...?

Bored.

I'm extremely bored. I don't think I slept at all last night, and I feel strangely awake. I don't understand it. I actually feel good having had no sleep. What is that about?

I've no doubt it will all go to hell later. I've got a meeting with some bloke who's in a band. I can't remember the full name, but it has the word Djinn in it. Sounds pretentious.

Must do some work for this writing course tonight. I've done the first assignment, but I don't like it. I will probably end up doing it all again from scratch.

Well, my CCDE ticket has finally been ordered. Hopefully it will be rather fun. This probably doesn't merit a post all on its own, but I'm bored and I don't care. So there.

My printer is giving me grief. I've had 2 HP LJ4s now, both have been smashing for what I wanted, but both also sucked at various things. This one doesn't like card, and it doesn't like labels. I think it might be time to say goodbye and embrace the inkjet culture. I've got my eye on one of these new-fangled colour jobs. It'll never catch on you know. Colour printouts, I ask you, who needs that? In my day we 'ad green and white stripey paper wi' 'oles in'th ootside fer grippin'. 9 pins were all we needed, me laddo. 9 bloody pins...

*ahem*

I need something with a massive paper tray that's pretty fast, that's why I went for the LJ4 originally, and why I stuck with it for so long. It is one big muthaf%^$er though. I fancy something a little smaller, easier on the eye, and faster. Recommendations anyone? It has to work flawlessly in linux too. Otherwise, it ain't a printer, it's just a toy for Bill and Steve and their respective minions.
