rollercoaster
That was one hell of a couple of days. Ok, for future reference, none of you are to turn blue on me. I don't like it. It may be a purely aesthetic consideration, but somehow I doubt it. Livi has promised not to do it again, so I don't want any shenanigans from the rest of you, you hear?
As some of you may have gathered from my conspicuous absence, I stayed in Rochdale the last couple of nights. I'm extremely glad I did. She looks *much* better, and far less likely to do any inappropriate keeling over, or other things which might scare the crap out of me.
We've had a good couple of days. Last night Trisha helped me make the mulled wine and we sat and had a very relaxing evening. Well, if you count being pelted with peanuts by an extremely bouncy 13 year old as relaxing. Trisha is a happy drunk, albeit with definite food-fight leanings. Sue was much more reserved. I doubt more than 10% of the peanuts came from her direction.
Tonight I took them all out for pizza and discovered that no matter how crap I am at managing to eat what society deems a sensible portion of food, Livi will always beat me. There was definitely some sleight of hand involved in how she dealt with her half of our pizza. Another lovely evening, and all in all, a pretty lovely day. I'm sure this is supposed to be a hell of a lot harder, but who am I to complain?
Work beckons tomorrow, and I'm oddly happy at the prospect. I don't usually get proper time to relax and have fun at the weekend, and I certainly didn't this weekend, but these last 2 days have been great.
