Somewhat frantic

Certain things have hit me in the past few hours. Among them the fact that I will be starting a new job in the morning. A new job where they take things seriously, where the bureaucracy looks somewhat stifling, and where I’m not just representing myself, since everyone I’ll be working with knows exactly who my girlfriend is...

Cue freakout. I’m glad to say everything else here has been absolutely serene and perfect. This helps, enormously. I proved exactly how badly I’m coping today by having total mental freeze when the car failed to start. I took a few minutes to think, and managed to sort it out, but anything more than that would just have been too much. So, thanks to all herepresent for allowing me to not be on anything resembling top form. I’m not perfect, no matter how much I’d like to be. It’s great to know I don’t have to be.
