Back in business

Work seems to have weathered the shitstorm that was yesterday. We're back on the 'net and everything seems to be going ok. This means I don't get to go home and work from there though, so that's annoying.

The stuff from ebay hasn't arrived yet. I'm getting twitchy. As much as I love ebay, I'm still a little nervous about buying expensive things there. About 150 quid has gone on the credit card, just on geekery, and there's going to be more before I'm done. Hopefully I can pinch an old NIC from work, but I still need a wavelan card for the emate. And I still don't know if it's all going to work. *sigh*

mine arrived this morning, and he only posted it at 5:30pm last night. What kind of feedback did your seller have?

*I* want a wavelan card too! What's your ebay id so we don't end up bidding against each other?

hotmadras. It's an anagram. I'm bidding on a wavelan silver turbo pcmcia card atm. I'm the current high bidder. :)

and it's the only one on ebay uk too. curses. I'll get the next one...

don't worry, I'd just feel bad bidding against someone I know, even if it's someone I don't know well.

I need to play with it (and pay for it) first to see what I can do with it. I suspect a serial cable may be the first order of the day.

Forgot to mention, the feedback on both items seemed fine. I don't think there'll be a problem, I'm just a bit twitchy :)

I've been there too. They've always turned up though - one guy had gone on holiday! d'oh.
