drunk on my own success

I made alcoholic drink... and I meant to! I have made cherry dessert wine. It's yummy. It's also f$@&king powerful. Hurrah for fruit-based drinks!

I have just bought a kilo of frozen blueberries so that I can try a blueberry melomel. The plum melomel went rather quickly at Easter :)

ooh, sounds nice. I'm doing Treacle Ale next, and then it's on to mead... The cherry wine kicks like a mule. I think I'll try for something rather more sedate next.

I love the fact that you "meant to" this time around instead of "by accident I made.... which then exploded in the kitchen..." ;)

Hey! That was a one-time thing! I haven't made exploding root beer in ages! I've made oddly alcoholic root beer, yeasty root beer and strange, slightly fizzy non-root-beery swill, but none of them exploded!

Well okay it was only once I'll give you that.... still the comedy value alone was worth it ;)

You know I only pick on you cause your just so cool :)

Good Stuff.

The cherry wine I made befor xmas is now considerably more drinkable after a spot of aging. I think I've only got two gallons to get though now...

I only made a gallon to start with. Seemed to make sense to only waste one gallon if it all went pear shaped. I'm now making quick, cheap and cheerful Treacle Ale. Should be ready to drink in a couple of weeks.
