I really must remember to do this more often. It would save the excuses and general rambling that take up the first line or so. Anyway, suffice it to say, I'm sorry, dearest journal, I won't do it again (honest).
Right, what's been happening then? Well, I've finally bought that long leather coat I've been promising myself for years, and I love it as much as I thought I would. It's nice and swishy, but also heavy and black. It's made of patches of leather sewn together rather haphazardly, so it looks really rather more gothic than I was originally going for. Plus, being a small person, it reaches nearly to the floor; always a good thing in a swishy coat. All for less than 50 quid from ebay. I love you, ebay!!
I've also had my barnet chopped, and while it's not a style I'd have gone for myself, I think I thoroughly approve. It's just short, scruffy, and waxed firmly into place. In concert with the coat, it makes me look like some kind of goth-punk, another thing I sort of approve of. It's almost like going out in a costume. It makes you feel pretty much invulnerable, because when you look in a mirror, it's not you looking back. I need to get some "harness" boots now (nothing kinky, they're just snub-nosed cowboy boots with a pair of straps going through "o" rings at the ankle). I had some at uni and they lasted me 4 years. Fantastic things, extremely chunky and with the added advantage of making you look like something out of Mad Max. Anyway, that's enough about my taste in clothing. I've probably freaked most of the people who read this out slightly by now anyway.
To continue the theme of being freaked out, I encourage everybody in the whole world to go and watch "The Ring". It's quite simply the best horror movie I've ever seen. No gore, no supernatural beasties, no people with improbably deep voices, just good old-fashioned, scare the living crap out of you, horror. I won't say anything more about it other than this: Whatever you do, don't make my mistake and put a video on when you come back from the cinema, the static alone scared the b'jesus out of me (you'll understand when you've seen it).
Right, I think that's enough of an update for now. I will attempt to do this more often in future, honest!
