Right, in a bizarre synergy of a couple of things I've been wanting to do for a while, I've just made root beer ice cream. Now hang on, it's not as weird as it sounds. Well, maybe it is, but it tastes fucking gorgeous! I've just put the mixture in the freezer to, well, freeze. Hopefully it'll still taste fantastic when it's frozen. I rock. I may have to prod Ben and Jerry with this one. They could call it "Got Root?".

I have pimped the idea at Messrs. Ben and Jerry via the handy form on their web site. Apparently they had one called Root Beer Float, or somesuch, before, but I don't know what it was like.

Geek subculture ice cream. It's the way forward.

Bah! It's fab! I went shopping earlier and bought some supplies for making more ice cream. It's a lot easier than I thought it would be. Mint choc chip is my next project.

Just completed the first batch. Looks pretty good so far. Minty and chocolatey. Should be edible by tonight, so I might take some 'round to my Mum's, on the basis that, since I've provided dessert, she should provide the remainder of the traditional Sunday fare. It's only fair, I've slaved over a... cold... freezer... erm.
