I've finally placed the order for my T-Shirt after a brief altercation with a non-compliant web site. It wouldn't work in Opera or Mozilla, but it finally caved in and decided to let me use it with Internet Exploder. *sigh*.

Anyway, at least people will now be able to say "Ah! That well dressed young man in the womble T-shirt must be Ori! Gosh, what a handsome chap he is, and so virile looking! I bet he's a proper stallion"... Um... they probably won't say the last bits.

On a whim, I just decided to look up jobs requiring eVB to see what they're worth (potentially what I'm worth). I can do this shit after all. It's not difficult. If anything it's easier than VB6. It's just a little unfamiliar at the moment. Anyway, I currently earn £16,000 pa. I've just seen not one, but 8 eVB jobs advertised at £40,000. Just development jobs. Nowt special. Maybe that's the way forward. Maybe I should be looking for more stuff like that. I suspect they might expect me to work for that £40,000 though. That might be something of a culture shock :)

Just another example of how I'm wasting my time here. I have no ambition whatsoever, don't get me wrong. I also know I'm not actually particularly great at any of this. I can do it though. Enough to continue getting paid anyway. I'm not particularly good at any one thing, but if you add up all the stuff I can kind of do, it's not a bad CV :). I don't want to be some driven career type. I can't think of anything worse. The money would be nice though :)

I might apply. I'd probably get nowhere anyway. There must be hundreds of people applying for jobs like that. But think of it... what could I do with £40,000? :)
